It can serve as an institutional repository PDF, WORD, PPT documents,
thesis, dissertations and reports can be easily stored
and managed. OntoLib can store digital objects in different formats ( PDF, PDFa,
DOC, PPT, TIFF, JPG, GIF, PNG, AVI, MP3, MP4…).
Every digital object can be described using metadata.
Libraries can easily store, update, manage digital collections with
OntoLib digital library management system. The system consist
of digital library web application.
Digital library includes web based full text search and retrieval
system.
Users can conduct search queries using 3 types of searching.
Basic search consist of single query input to search against title,
authors, publisher, published year and full text.
In extended search queries can be made against the full text of
digital documents, key metadata fields or combination of both.
Advanced search is used to conduct search queries using combination
of Boolean logical operators and key metadata fields.
Retrieval of hits resulting from full-text searches are highlighted
directly on the documents data for quick visual reference.
Mistyped search words are corrected with spellchecker. Metadata
and fields can also be used to limit full text search or retrieve
other non-textual digital objects.
Ontolib digital library support full-text indexing by indexing the
document. System then searches the entire collection very quickly.
